Russia has been warning that threats to its security are unacceptable for years — Lavrov

Sergey Lavrov underscored that the Kiev regime has been oppressing these people, banning the Russian language, education, media, culture and many other things

MOSCOW, October 18. /TASS/. Russia has been warning that creation of threats on its borders is unacceptable for years, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Tuesday.

"The Russian Federation has been warning for years about the unacceptability of creation of threats to our security, not 10,000 miles away, but right on our border, for people who consider themselves Russian and want to remain a part of the Russian world," he said.

Lavrov underscored that the Kiev regime has been oppressing these people, banning the Russian language, education, media, culture and many other things.

"For eight long years they have been bombing Donbass, murdered women and children. No one among our Western colleagues bothered to say even one word in defense of those oppressed by the authors and executioners of the anti-constitutional coup d’etat in Ukraine. Western journalists have never visited Donbass in these eight years - maybe with one or two exceptions - but covered everything involving the implementation and non-implementation of the Minsk Agreements only from Kiev’s position," he added.
