Two killed, one wounded in Ukrainian rocket attack on Novaya Kakhovka

KHERSON, October 18. /TASS/. Two people were killed and one person was injured in a rocket attack on Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson Region, the city administration said in a statement on Telegram.

"A rocket hit the Energy Stadium area, killing two people, another person was taken to the hospital with shrapnel wounds. The attack also damaged a transformer substation at the Energy Stadium, causing a transformer to leak oil. The regional energy company’s team is working to repair the damage. This was the first rocket attack on the Energy Stadium since the start of military activities," the statement reads.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue shelling a number of settlements in the Kherson Region. School buildings and social infrastructure facilities have been destroyed and homes have been damaged. According to the authorities, about 70% of homes are damaged in Novaya Kakhovka due to regular rocket attacks.
