Russian-US dialogue on cybersecurity practically ceased to exist — MFA

"The current situation in Russian-US relations is unique for the past decades in terms of drawbacks," Andrey Krutskikh noted

MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. The dialogue on cybersecurity with Washington has practically been stopped, Andrey Krutskikh, a special presidential envoy for international cooperation in the area of information space, said in an interview to the International Affairs magazine that was published on the Foreign Ministry’s website on Friday.

"The current situation in Russian-US relations is unique for the past decades in terms of drawbacks. The bilateral dialogue on cybersecurity has been practically stopped by Washington. And accusations and threats directed at us from across the ocean are plentiful. Things have started to reach the level of hysteria: Our negotiators <... > are not given the opportunity to perform their diplomatic functions at the UN, their access to the headquarters of that organization is being impeded, thus undermining the international negotiation process on international information security as a whole," he said.
