DPR head says it needs to rebuild its air defense system due to great deal of Western arms

According to Pushilin, Ukrainian forces inflict strikes on civilian and critical infrastructure, so the republic is now increasing the number of air defense systems

MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. Denis Pushilin, the acting governor of the Donetsk People’s Republic, on Thursday said Western countries supply Kiev with outdated weapons but their sheer numbers are prompting the DPR to rebuild its air defense systems.

"Western countries supply Ukraine with outdated ammunition and outdated weapons, but nevertheless, due to their huge amounts, we are forced to rebuild the elements of air defenses, among other things. That’s because we are now addressing the need to counter the shelling as much as possible," he said on Rossiya-24 television.

According to Pushilin, Ukrainian forces inflict strikes on civilian and critical infrastructure, so the republic is now increasing the number of air defense systems.
