Russian paratroopers repel Ukrainian army attack in Kherson area — top brass

It is reported that the enemy’s personnel aboard tanks and infantry fighting vehicles attacked at a high speed the Russian paratroopers’ positions to reconnoiter and break through the defense line

MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. Russian paratroopers repelled a Ukrainian army attack in the Kherson Region, destroying four enemy tanks and over 20 militants, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Thursday.

The Russian military brass uploaded the corresponding video. "Russian paratroopers fired anti-tank missile systems during the battle, eliminating four tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles and over 20 Ukrainian militants. The enemy’s attack was thwarted. The Ukrainian militants fleeing the battlefield abandoned those wounded and killed," the statement says.

As the Russian Defense Ministry specified, the enemy’s personnel aboard tanks and infantry fighting vehicles attacked at a high speed the Russian paratroopers’ positions to reconnoiter and break through the defense line. The attackers were detected by the teams of unmanned aerial vehicles while the crews of Kornet and Shturm-S anti-tank missile systems of Russia’s Airborne Force received reconnaissance data, assumed hidden fire positions and opened gunfire on the attacking enemy armor.
