Rosgvardiya said the man was gathering data by means of personal observation and from his relatives and friends and transmitted it using various means of communication and through a specially created closed chat

MOSCOW, October 11. /TASS/. Russia’s National Guard (Rosgvardiya) has detained an accomplice of Ukrainian nationalists in the Zaporozhye Region for spying on the Russian forces and transmitting the data to the Ukrainian military, Rosgvardiya’s press-service told TASS on Wednesday.

"As a result of special measures being taken in the Zaporozhye region, Rosgvardiya’s rapid reaction squad has detained a citizen (born in 1996) on the suspicion of assisting Ukraine’s armed forces. Via a close relative serving in the Ukrainian army the detainee for several months (from April to August) actively transmitted data regarding the strength, location and movements of Russia’s military servicemen, weapons and military equipment, the locations of air defense facilities, as well as the coordinates of life support facilities in the Zaporozhye region," the news release says.

Rosgvardiya said the man was gathering data by means of personal observation and from his relatives and friends and transmitted it using various means of communication and through a specially created closed chat.
