SIMFEROPOL, October 11. /TASS/. A ‘yellow’ (high) level of terrorist threat has been declared in the Crimean municipalities adjacent to the Crimean Bridge, head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov said on his Telegram channel Tuesday.

"In order to ensure security and anti-terrorist protection of the Republic of Crimea and its people, a ‘yellow’ (high) level of terrorist threat will be in effect between 20:00 October 11, 2022, and 20:00 October 23, 2022, on the Kerch City District and the Leninsky District of the Republic of Crimea," he said.

Aksyonov added that law enforcement agencies, security agencies, executive bodies and self-governance bodies take additional measures to ensure the security of individuals, the society and the state.

A truck exploded on the Crimean Bridge on Saturday morning, causing several fuel tanks of a train to catch fire. Three people were killed in the blast. Two spans of the bridge’s roadway to the peninsula collapsed but a lane leading from Crimea to the Krasnodar Region reportedly remained intact. Railway traffic over the bridge has been restored, car traffic has been partially restored.
