At least 16 explosions rock city of Zaporozhye, activist says

As Vladimir Rogov said, fires were reported in several parts of the city where plumes of smoke are rising, and there are power outages

KIEV, October 11. /TASS/. At least 16 explosions rocked the city of Zaporozhye on Tuesday morning, Chairman of the We Stand With Russian movement Vladimir Rogov wrote on Telegram.

"A series of at least 16 explosions in the regional center lasted for 40 minutes, starting at 6:03 am," he said. "Fires were reported in several parts of the city where plumes of smoke are rising, and there are power outages," Rogov added.

Head of the Kiev-controlled Zaporozhye military administration Alexander Starukh also reported explosions in the city and urged local residents to remain in shelters.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to control the city of Zaporozhye, which has about half of the region’s population.
