About 90 militants killed in Ukrainian army’s attempt to attack Lisichansk — LPR militia

The Russia-Donbass allied forces are successfully repelling the Ukrainian army’s attacks but the enemy formations continue shelling not only allied units but also civilian infrastructure, Andrey Marochko stressed

MOSCOW, October 10. /TASS/. About 90 militants, three tanks and six armored vehicles were destroyed in the Ukrainian army’s attempt to storm Lisichansk, Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) militia officer Andrey Marochko told Russia’s Rossiya-24 TV channel on Monday.

"In an unsuccessful assault attempt and, let us say, in a brilliant operation of our servicemen prepared by the military command, about 90 Ukrainian militants, three tanks and six armored vehicles were destroyed, i.e. these are quite impressive figures," the LPR people’s militia officer said.

The Russia-Donbass allied forces are successfully repelling the Ukrainian army’s attacks but the enemy formations continue shelling not only allied units but also civilian infrastructure, Marochko said.

"Our servicemen are coping with all these offensives and grinding down the enemy persistently but the adversary, unfortunately, conducts gunfire not only against our positions but also against the infrastructure of cities and districts, including the Lisichansk area," the LPR people’s militia officer said.

The LPR people’s militia earlier reported that the republic’s engagement line had stabilized.
