Diplomat calls out NATO’s support for looming nuclear catastrophe at Zaporozhye plant

Maria Zakharova stressed that only one country in the world actually used nuclear weapons and it was the United States of America

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is giving its stamp of approval to endangering the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday.

"Here, we cannot understand at all why the real threat to a nuclear facility, the Zaporozhye nuclear plant, is not given any proper attention whatsoever in Western media outlets, given that they are perfectly aware of who has been creating threats to this facility for several months. Moreover, they are aware that it is precisely them, NATO and Western-centric countries who back such actions," the diplomat pointed out.

"In order to give journalists from Western countries food for thought, it seems to me it wouldn’t be bad for them to remind themselves more often that only one country in the world actually used nuclear weapons and it was the United States of America," Zakharova stressed.
