LPR forces crush Ukrainian troops infiltrating republic’s territory, militia reports

Andrey Marochko believes that already tomorrow the people’s militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic will publish information on the enemy’s losses

LUGANSK, October 3. /TASS/. Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) militia forces misled Ukrainian troops, provoked their attempt to move towards Lisichansk and subsequently destroyed them, LPR people’s militia officer Andrey Marochko told TASS on Monday.

"Quite a large enemy battlegroup was destroyed on the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic. I want to note at once: our military command carried out a brilliant operation and misled the enemy. The enemy paid for its attempt to move forward towards the settlement of Lisichansk being elated by successes. The entire enemy battlegroup was annihilated, we waited for them and the formation was crushed. Now the enemy’s losses among manpower and military equipment are being specified," Marochko said.

"I believe that already tomorrow the people’s militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic will publish information on the enemy’s losses. At this moment, I can say that servicemen of the Ukrainian armed formations gave up further attempts to break through our defense lines on this terrain and cross the administrative border of the Lugansk People’s Republic," Marochko said.

The LPR people’s militia officer said earlier on Monday that units of the allied forces of the Donbass republics and the Russian army gained foothold at the approaches to the settlement of Kremennaya. He specified that the Ukrainian battlegroup, which had crossed the republic’s administrative border to try to break through the allied forces’ defenses in that area, was completely destroyed while its remnants retreated to their earlier assumed positions. Marochko added that the Ukrainian troops ended up in a fire pocket of the allied forces.
