Ukrainian force obliterated upon attempt to penetrate into LPR, militia reports

Andrey Marochko said that Ukrainian authorities’ wish to win victories had led to "a catastrophe for the Ukrainian military"

MOSCOW, October 3. /TASS/. A Ukrainian force that had previously penetrated the administrative border of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) has been wiped out, the Lugansk people’s militia’s spokesman, Andrey Marochko, said on Russia’s TV Channel One.

"By now, 14:00 (Moscow time zone - TASS), the entire force that had crossed the administrative border of the Lugansk People's Republic has been almost completely destroyed and sustained colossal losses. The scattered remnants have retreated to their previous positions," he said.

Marochko said that Ukrainian authorities’ wish to win victories had led to "a catastrophe for the Ukrainian military."

"It was an act of suicide," he added.

Earlier, Marochko said that the Ukrainian army was pushing ahead with attempts to break through the engagement line in the area Kremennaya, in the Lugansk People's Republic, but the allied forces managed to block the enemy’s advance.
