Direct Line with Putin to be held no earlier than July, Kremlin says

Dmitry Peskov specified that the date of the event "has not yet been determined," but "routine preparations are underway" involving both technical issues and its content

MOSCOW, June 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s annual question and answer session, known as the Direct Line with Vladimir Putin, will be held no earlier than July, it is not planned to hold this event this month, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

"The direct line cannot be held this month," the Kremlin official explained. He specified that the date of the event "has not yet been determined," but "routine preparations are underway" involving both technical issues and its content.

"This is a very complex, extensive event. So the routine preparations are underway but they will enter the final phase only after the date is determined," Putin’s press secretary concluded without naming a possible time frame.
