Kiev troops shell Novaya Kakhovka again, four blasts heard

In Novaya Kakhovka, according to the authorities, about 70% of homes have been damaged due to regular shelling attacks by the Ukrainian army

KHERSON, October 26. /TASS/. The armed forces of Ukraine shelled the city of Novaya Kakhovka in Ukraine’s Kherson Region on Tuesday, the Novokakhovskaya Pravda Telegram channel was quoted as saying by the city’s administration.

"The civilian population of Novaya Kakhovka is under shelling. Four blasts were heard," the report says.

The armed forces of Ukraine regularly shell several communities in the Kherson Region, with schools and social infrastructure destroyed and homes damaged. In Novaya Kakhovka itself, according to the authorities, about 70% of homes have been damaged due to regular shelling attacks by the Ukrainian army.

Acting Kherson Region governor Vladimir Saldo told reporters on October 19 that Kiev troops regularly shell the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant (HPP) in the Kherson Region in an attempt to wreck floodgates at the plant’s dam.
