Tally of people injured in shelling of Bryansk Region village rises to six

The victims have shrapnel wounds, regional Governor Alexander Bogomaz specified

MOSCOW, June 14. /TASS/. The number of people that were injured in the shelling of the Zaimishche village of the Bryansk Region on Tuesday rose to six, regional Governor Alexander Bogomaz said on Telegram.

Earlier, four people were reported to have been injured.

"According to updated data, the number of victims in Zaimishche has increased to six. Two more citizens received medical assistance," he said. "The victims have shrapnel wounds. They all were rushed to a district hospital, and their condition is stable."

The governor said about 50 houses were damaged in the village, and first responders continue to work on the scene. Afterward, a damage assessment commission will start working.

Water and power supply, which was cut off as a result of the incident, has now been restored. The power outage affected more than 2,500 customers, the Rosseti power grid company said. A military helicopter may have damaged a power line, the company said. Zaimishche is about 50 km from the Ukrainian border.
