Russia taking lead in wheat supplies to Morocco — expert

Russian wheat deliveries to the market have already reached 650,000 metric tons since the start of the season

RABAT, November 29. /TASS/. Russia has taken the leading position in wheat deliveries to Morocco, Eduard Zernin, Board Chairman of the Union of Grain Exporters, told TASS in a written interview.

"Our key, so to speak, home markets are Middle Eastern and African nations. Morocco is the jewel of the region and is therefore one of our priority markets for supplies," Zernin said.

"Russian wheat deliveries to the market have already reached 650,000 metric tons since the start of the season, which is significantly above the figure for the same period last year. Starting from the 2024-2025 season, according to the July-October results, Morocco has joined the ranks of our top ten wheat buyers, and we have become the leader in wheat deliveries to the Kingdom," the expert said.
