Finance Ministry earmarks funds for needs of special military operation, says minister

"These includes monetary allowance of mobilized servicemen, and uniforms of the mobilized, who will receive financial support this year," Anton Siluanov specified

MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Russia’s Finance Ministry has earmarked resources for the needs of the special military operation this year, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said during a meeting with representatives of the United Russia faction in the State Duma.

"The next important topic is defense and security. Together with the Defense Ministry and other law enforcement agencies, we have defined the amount of resources needed to conduct a special military operation. The money has been earmarked for this year and will be budgeted in the next three years," Siluanov said.

"These includes monetary allowance of mobilized servicemen, and uniforms of the mobilized, who will receive financial support this year," the minister specified.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the decision to carry out a special military operation in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass for assistance.

The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories, noting that the operation was aimed at the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine.
