Russian Digital Ministry launches software marketplace

It is reported that the functionality of Russoft.ru will be expanded

MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. An online store of domestic software has been launched, the Russian Ministry of Digital Development said on its Telegram channel.

"The Ministry of Digital Development has launched a Russian software marketplace. Domestic software products presented on the market and included into the register of Russian software have been compiled on the Russoft.ru portal," the Ministry said.

Developers should submit their applications via the government services portal to post their products on the market place. According to the ministry, more than a thousand programs have already been placed in the market place and their key characteristics are described on product pages: functionality, price, compatibility with operating systems and foreign equivalents that can be substituted.

The functionality of Russoft.ru will be expanded, the Ministry said. It is planned that a product rating and an option to post reviews will appear.

The marketplace should become a real tool to promote software in Russian and foreign markets in the future, Deputy Minister Maxim Parshin said.
