Rosatom plans to deliver fresh nuclear fuel to NPP in Bangladesh — CEO

The Rooppur NPP is currently under construction in Bangladesh in accordance with the master contract of December 25, 2015

MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. Rosatom plans to supply fresh nuclear fuel to the Rooppur nuclear power plant (NPP) under construction in Bangladesh in the next year, CEO of the Russian state nuclear corporation Aleksey Likhachev said on Wednesday on the air with the Rossiya-24 TV Channel.

"We plan to turn the construction site into a nuclear facility in the next year, specifically, to deliver fresh nuclear fuel [to the Rooppur NPP under construction in Bangladesh]. It means there will be one more nuclear facility on the planet," Likhachev said.

The Rooppur NPP is currently under construction in Bangladesh in accordance with the master contract of December 25, 2015.
