Transnistria’s authorities announce reduction in Russian gas supplies in October-November

It is noted that in order to save money, gas supply to industrial enterprises of the republic will be reduced

CHISINAU, October 17. /TASS/. The authorities of the unrecognized Transnistria announced a planned reduction in Russian gas supplies in October and November. This is according to a statement by the press service of the President of the unrecognized republic.

"PJSC Gazprom decided to reduce the volume of gas supplies to Transnistria by 30% year-on-year in October and by 40% year-on-year in November. The current month's shortage is 36 million cubic meters, while the shortage in November is expected to reach 55 million cubic meters. The leadership of the republic has sent letters of inquiry to Russian addressees, but at the moment we have to proceed from the current state of affairs," the statement says.

In order to save money, gas supply to industrial enterprises of the republic will be reduced. It was decided to temporarily reduce gas supply to several large enterprises including the Moldavskaya regional power plant, which supplies electricity to both banks of the Dniester.

The Moldovagaz gas distribution company announced a 30% reduction in Russian gas supplies to Moldova in October.
