IEA lowers forecast for global oil demand growth in 2023

Global oil reserves in August this year increased by 36.5 mln barrels

MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. The International Energy Agency (IEA) lowered its forecast for global oil demand growth in 2022 by 60,000 barrels per day (bpd), and now expects it to increase by 1.9 mln bpd, according to the October report of the International Energy Agency (IEA).

In September, the IEA forecast that global demand for oil in 2022 will increase by 2 mln bpd to 99.7 mln bpd and by 2.1 mln bpd in August.

The forecast for global oil demand next year has been sharply reduced by 470,000 bpd to 1.7 mln bpd. Oil demand is now expected to reach 101.3 mln bpd in 2023.

Global oil reserves in August this year increased by 36.5 mln barrels.
