Russian troops destroy pro-Kiev mercenary force that attacked LPR

Several groups of mercenaries comprising between 15 and 50 members attempted to test the defenses of the allied forces, an aide to the LPR interior minister Vitaly Kiselev said

MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Units of the Russian armed forces have dealt a "crushing blow" to an assault force of pro-Kiev mercenaries attempting to advance near the city of Kremennaya in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) on Monday, said Vitaly Kiselev, an aide to the LPR interior minister.

"Indeed, the Russian army dealt a crushing blow to mercenary forces attempting an incursion into our territories," he said in a broadcast of Russia’s Channel One on Tuesday.

In his words, several groups of mercenaries comprising between 15 and 50 members attempted to test the defenses of the allied forces.

"Those attempts produced absolutely no result," the LPR official said.

In his words, these groups were "scattered and eliminated," and about 10 vehicles were destroyed by the Russian artillery.
