Kiev troops resume shelling of two Donetsk districts

DONETSK, October 20. /TASS/. The armed forces of Ukraine resumed the shelling of Donetsk using NATO-standard 155-mm artillery rounds in the early hours of Thursday, the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) mission to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes said.

The mission reported in its Telegram channel that a total of five artillery rounds were fired towards the city’s Kievsky and Kuibyshevsky districts starting from 00:20 Moscow time.

According to earlier reports, three shells were fired towards the Kuibyshevsky district at 23:49 on Wednesday and two - towards the Kievsky district at 23:52.

Earlier, a TASS correspondent reported that two blasts were heard in the city center of Donetsk on Wednesday night. Shortly after, plumes of smoke were seen rising from the Lenin Square. According to the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) territorial defense headquarters, the office of Donetsk’s Voroshilovsky district administration was hit by a Ukrainian shell.
