Kherson Region administration relocated to left bank of Dnieper — Deputy Governor

Earlier, it was reported that the situation in the region is stable and that the authorities work as usual

KHERSON, October 19. /TASS/. The administration of the Kherson Region was relocated to the left bank of River Dnieper due to security concerns, deputy governor Kirill Stremousov told TASS Wednesday.

"The administration was relocated," he said, answering a question.

On Tuesday, Acting Governor Vladimir Saldo announced that residents of the right bank part of the region will be evacuated to the left bank due to a threat of flooding that may occur, should Ukrainian forces strike the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam. He also noted that Ukraine is amassing huge forces on Nikolayev and Krivoy Rog directions. According to Saldo, the decision to relocate the residents was also motivated by construction of large-scale defensive fortifications.

Earlier on Wednesday, Stremousov told TASS that the situation in the region is stable and that the authorities work as usual.
