MOSCOW, October 13. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet in the Poltava Region, intercepted 16 HIMARS and Olkha rockets and 10 American HARM anti-radar missiles in their special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Thursday.

"Russian air defense capabilities shot down a Su-27 plane of the Ukrainian Air Force near the settlement of Porskalevka in the Poltava Region. In addition, they intercepted 16 rockets of American HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and also Ukrainian Olkha rocket launchers in the areas of the communities of Troitskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Chernobayevka, Korsunka, Novoraisk, Kakhovka, Antonovka and Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson Region. In the areas of the settlements of Guselskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson Region, 10 American HARM anti-radar missiles were shot down," the spokesman said.

In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 321 Ukrainian combat aircraft, 161 helicopters, 2,211 unmanned aerial vehicles, 380 surface-to-air missile systems, 5,720 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 868 multiple rocket launchers, 3,467 field artillery guns and mortars and 6,529 special military motor vehicles since the beginning of their special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
