Ukraine’s military amassing troops to break through allied forces’ defenses — LPR envoy

The Russia-Donbass allied forces are now building fortifications at the Svatovo-Kremennaya engagement line

MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. The Ukrainian army is actively re-deploying numerous units to break through the Svatovo-Kremennaya line that the Russia-Donbass allied forces are currently reinforcing, Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) mission in Moscow Rodion Miroshnik told TASS on Wednesday.

"A lot of units [of the Ukrainian military] have now been amassed there [at the engagement line], rotation is underway and troops from other areas are being moved in. Kiev needs political victories so that the West can keep rendering it assistance," the envoy said.

The Russia-Donbass allied forces are now building fortifications at the Svatovo-Kremennaya engagement line, Miroshnik said.

"A new line of defense will be in place there and all the efforts must be concentrated there so that the Ukrainian armed forces cannot enter LPR territory. For at least 48 hours, our forces have been actively shelling enemy amassments," he added.

The press office of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) people’s militia reported on Tuesday that the Ukrainian troops had achieved some success in the Krasny Liman area but failed to accomplish their main objective of encircling the allied forces. After that, the Ukrainian military launched attempts to start an offensive on Svatovo.
