Russia says sappers cleared more than 800 explosive objects in Donbass in past day

A total of 3,498.1 hectares of land has been inspected, including 23.3 hectares over the past day

MOSCOW, June 22. /TASS/. Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, on Wednesday said mine removal engineers of the Russian armed forces and the Emergency Situations Ministry cleared more than 800 explosive objects in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics over the past day.

"Twenty-nine thousand seven hundred and twenty-seven explosive objects have been found and cleared, including 806 over the past day," he said.

A total of 3,498.1 hectares of land has been inspected, including 23.3 hectares over the past day, the general said. Sappers checked 35 buildings, including 13 socially important facilities, two bridges and 9.64 km of motorways.
