Russia says its aircraft hit 62 Ukrainian military clusters, destroyed three arms depots

MOSCOW, June 18. /TASS/. Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov on Saturday said Russian aircraft struck 62 Ukrainian military clusters, destroyed troops, vehicles and three arms depots over the past day.

"Tactical and army aircraft struck 62 clusters of Ukrainian troops and military equipment. As a result of the air strikes three ammunition depots in the districts of Tsapovka, Kharkov Region and Lisichansk, Lugansk People's Republic, were destroyed," he said.

Konashenkov said Russian air defenses shot down a Ukrainian drone Bayraktar TB2 near Kherson.

"A total of eight Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were also shot down in the past day in the areas of the settlements of Borovenki of the Lugansk People's Republic, Chernobayevka of the Kherson Region, Sukhaya Kamenka, Malaya Kamyshevakha, Zabavnoye, Kharkov Region, Gulyaipole of the Zaporozhye Region, including the Bayraktar-TB2 unmanned assault aerial vehicle in the Kherson Region," he said.

Konashenkov said Russia’s armed forces have destroyed 206 Ukrainian planes, 1,241 drones, 3,613 armored vehicles and 547 multiple launch rocket systems since the start of the special military operation.

"In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following targets have been destroyed: 206 aircraft and 132 helicopters, 1, 241 unmanned aerial vehicles, 343 air defense systems, 3, 613 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 547 multiple launch rocket systems, 2,032 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 3,687 special military vehicles," he said.
