Voting at Serbia’s snap parliamentary elections over

Voter turnout was 64.89% two hours before the end

BELGRADE, October 25. /TASS/. Voting in Serbia’s snap parliamentary elections has finished as polling stations closed at 8:00 p.m. local time (7:00 p.m. GMT).

According to the Republic Electoral Commission (REC), voter turnout was 64.89% two hours before the end of voting.

A TASS correspondent reported earlier that people were queueing to polling stations in Belgrade.

The ballots featured 18 electoral lists. The main contenders are expected to be the United Serbia list of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, led by Aleksandar Vucic, who stepped down as the country’s president on September 27, and the Student List coalition. The latter grew out of a protest movement that erupted in Serbia following the tragedy in Novi Sad in November 2024, when 16 people died when a concrete canopy at the train station collapsed.
