MOSCOW, August 2. /TASS/. US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi walked down the plane ramp in the Taipei airport Tuesday, according to Reuters livestream.

The video footage shows the politician, dressed in a light pink suit and wearing a face mask, walking down the ramp, accompanied by her delegation.

Pelosi greeted the welcoming party and posed for several joint photos before proceeding to the airport terminal.

Her visit has become the first visit of a US politician of such rank in the last 25 years. Beijing repeatedly warned Washington, that it will not leave such visit without consequences and will take harsh measures. Washington believes that Beijing may take steps in connection to the visit that may lead to a crisis, including missile launches or military exercise.
