Putin expects proposals on expansion of sports cooperation from Russian government

In addition, Vladimir Putin expects proposals on efficient cooperation of Russian sports federations in individual sport disciplines with corresponding international federations

MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the government to prepare proposals on expansion of international sports cooperation by June 20, according to the list of orders, issued after the October meeting of the Presidential Council on development of physical education and sports.

"With consideration of previously issued orders to the government of the Russian Federation: [prepare] proposals on expansion of equal and multifaceted international sports cooperation on development of new formats and promising organizational and legal forms of such cooperation," the order, published on the Kremlin’s website, reads.

In addition, Putin expects proposals on efficient cooperation of Russian sports federations in individual sport disciplines with corresponding international federations.

By June 24, the government must also present a report on the role of sports NGOs, which will outline the approaches to development of their activity, a project of the complex of relevant measures and proposals on improvement of legislation that regulates relations in sports.

It is noted that all initiatives must be presented in order to ensure free access of Russian athletes to international activities.
