Russia’s latest weapons offer better results with fewer troops in Ukraine, deputy PM says

"The effective use of the latest armaments in the special military operation is proof that we have been moving in the right direction and have been able to achieve better results using fewer troops," Yuri Borisov pointed out

MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. The Russian army is now about 70-percent equipped with the country’s latest armaments that allow it to achieve better results during the special operation in Ukraine with fewer troops, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said at an industrial policy summit on Thursday.

"We have achieved good results in rearmament, and 2022 differs greatly from 2012 as far as the army’s combat capabilities go. At present, around 70% of up-to-date weapons are in service," he specified.

Russia’s newest weapons have demonstrated their effectiveness in Ukraine, the deputy PM noted.

"The effective use (of the latest armaments - TASS) in the special military operation is proof that we have been moving in the right direction and have been able to achieve better results using fewer troops," Borisov noted.
