MOSCOW, February 29. /TASS/. Russia is keeping a close eye on the process of forming the European Commission’s position on the Nord Stream-2 project, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the European Union Vladimir Chizhov said on Monday.
"There is no official position of the European Commission on Nord Stream-2 as of yet. It is only being formed," he said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel. "Russia is keeping a close eye on this process."
He said there are different positions on that matter within the European Commission, in particular whether the European Union’s current norms could be applicable to the pipeline’s seabed section.
