MOSCOW, January 6. /TASS/. Russian troops operating in the south Donetsk area defeated a Ukrainian brigade near Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"In the south Donetsk area, Russia’s battlegroup East defeated units of the Ukrainian 79th airborne assault brigade near Novomikhailovka in the DPR. The enemy lost more than 90 servicemen, two armored combat vehicles and six vehicles," the ministry said.
