About 70,000 of 72,000 migrants who came to Ceuta illegally get home — Interior Ministry

Spain earlier estimated the number of illegal migrants at 50,000

MADRID, August 4. /TASS/. About 70,000 of the 72,000 illegal migrants who crossed to Spain’s African exclave of Ceuta from Morocco last week have gone back home, Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska told reporters.

According to him, "about 72,000 people entered Spain illegally and 70,000 have already left the country."

Earlier, Spain estimated the number of illegal migrants at 50,000.
