MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky, using the tactics of a seasoned criminal, has started betraying his partners in corruption schemes with American funding to Washington, hoping to "appear as a witness rather than a defendant," Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the Opposition Platform - For Life party banned in Ukraine, said.
The politician pointed out that Zelensky's statement that he didn't know where the $200 billion in military aid that Washington had allocated to Kiev had gone was a scandal. "Only it is not the very acknowledgment of the disappearance of the main part of the aid to Ukraine, but the fact that Zelensky admitted it, which shows that he is an accomplice to it," Medvedchuk wrote in his exclusive column on the media platform "Smotrim.ru." "Zelensky himself has slowly begun to expose the ugly, corrupt underbelly of this war, which is fundamentally changing the West's attitude toward this conflict and toward him personally. Zelensky is using the tactics of an experienced criminal who is trying to turn over his accomplices in order to be a witness rather than a defendant. And for the umpteenth time he is playing the role of a duped high school student who was brazenly tricked by Biden (former US President Joe Biden - TASS)," the politician said.
According to him, in the context of the shift of power in the United States, Zelensky decided for his self-preservation to denounce not only Biden, but also all activists and appointees who play the role of "overseers" of the US Democratic Party in Ukraine. However, because of his limitations, Zelensky "fails to see the pitiful position he has put himself in before the people of Ukraine and the global community," Medvedchuk added. While the system of American control in Ukraine is failing, Zelensky urgently needs to explain to US President Donald Trump's team that he himself allegedly does not know where the money went, the politician pointed out.
"External governance has simply destroyed Ukraine as a state, and the US is no longer benefiting from it. The country has been squeezed like a lemon, and now the Trump team is faced with the task of what to do with all this. The new administration clearly wants to get rid of the old administration's corrupt schemes so that the old administration will not think of coming back. That is why Zelensky is posing as Trump's man," Medvedchuk emphasized. "Only this political clown has miscalculated again. To really be useful to the Trump team, it's not enough to just shrug your shoulders and say, 'I don't know where the money is.' Zelensky must betray his partners: give out names, passwords, accounts, what and where from, who is involved," the politician said.
According to Medvedchuk, Zelensky, in particular, should reveal his partners from the UK foreign intelligence service MI-6, the EU and NATO leadership. "Indeed, why should Zelensky alone be responsible for the corruption schemes that led to the war and irreparable consequences for Ukraine? Yes, when he was offered a choice between the lives and well-being of Ukrainian citizens or fraudulent schemes, he chose money, knowing that it would be the blood and suffering of his fellow citizens. But this scheme was offered to him, developed, implemented, and, by the way, it is still working. We are not talking about thieves from the station market, but about criminals with the scale capable of spinning hundreds of billions of dollars in accounts, sending them offshore, selling weapons transferred to Ukraine on the side, buying media and politicians. All these people must be identified and severely punished, and Zelensky's 'guilty plea' will only accelerate this process," Medvedchuk concluded.·
Corruption in Ukraine
According to observers, experts and the Ukrainian media, the actions of the Ukrainian authorities, presented as the fight against corruption, are only performative actions, behind which there is a redistribution of spheres of influence and money flows, and corruption continues to thrive in almost all sectors. With the introduction of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine in February 2022, corruption has only escalated.
On February 2, Zelensky said in an interview with the Associated Press that he did not know where the $200 billion in military aid allocated by Washington to Kiev had gone. According to him, Ukraine has received only more than $75 billion from the United States. Already on February 4, Zelensky openly called a meeting of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council to discuss "financial integrity in the country," saying that lawmakers and officials were involved in large-scale shady financial schemes.
