BEIJING, May 1. /TASS/. The Russian-Ukrainian negotiation process has become way more difficult after the talks in Istanbul, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said in an interview to Xinhua.
"Yes, at present, the Russian-Ukrainian talks proceed with great difficulties," he said in the interview, posted on the Chinese news agency's website on Saturday.
"A few weeks ago, with Turkey’s mediation, the sides held a round of in-person negotiations in Istanbul," he said. "There, the Ukrainian delegation has put forward a draft agreement on international security guarantees to Ukraine. The Russian side received this proposal for additional study. Regretfully, the negotiation process became very much complicated after that.".
"The only way to ensure long-term order and stability in Ukraine is to restore sovereignty on its entire territory within the internationally recognized borders," he said.
