MOSCOW, April 19. /TASS/. Ukraine’s security service SBU is plotting a mass killing of civilians in the Odessa Region with the aim of blaming it on the Russian army, the chief of Russia’s national defense command center, Mikhail Mizintsev, said on Tuesday.
"According to reliable evidence, the Ukrainian security service SBU is plotting another monstrous provocation with aim of accusing the Russian army of committing war crimes, such as mass killing of civilians in the Odessa Region. An SBU unit wearing Russian uniform will be tasked with staging a demonstrative killing of local civilians," said Mizintsev, who leads Russia’s joint coordination center for humanitarian response.
He stressed that photos and videos showing scenes of rampage allegedly committed by Russian soldiers would be instantly published by the Ukrainian and Western news agencies for cynical propaganda.
Mizintsev stressed that Kiev’s preparations for the provocation demonstrated the authorities’ inhuman attitude to the lives of Ukrainian civilians and total neglect of morality and international humanitarian law.
"We are warning the US-led countries of the so-called ‘civilized West’ in advance that Russia has authentic evidence of the Kiev regime’s preparations for more terrible crimes," he said.
