MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. Moscow’s dialogue with Washington is not focused solely on ways of settling the Ukrainian conflict, as it also covers many other topics, a high-ranking Russian Foreign Ministry official said.
"By the way, in this dialogue we are discussing not only issues related to the Ukrainian settlement but also major economic initiatives and joint cultural and humanitarian projects that have the potential of becoming bridges between our countries in the future," Alexander Gusarov, director of the ministry’s North Atlantic department, said in an interview with the International Affairs magazine.
In light of this, the diesel deal can be seen as "a concrete result and the embodiment of the consistent and painstaking work of the presidents [of Russia and the United States] and their teams, who continue to work on a wide range of issues on the current international and bilateral agenda," he added.
