Putin signals launch of Yermakovsky Mining and Processing Plant via video link

The expected ore processing capacity is 30,000 tons

ULAN-UDE, August 10. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin signaled the launch the Yermakovsky Mining and Processing Plant. The ceremony took place via video link from the lobby of Buryat State University.

The strategic Yermakovsky fluorite-beryllium deposit is located in the Kizhinginsky District of Buryatia, east of Ulan-Ude. Its products are needed for aviation, space, laser, and nuclear technology.

The expected ore processing capacity is 30,000 tons. The project is scheduled for completion by 2028.

"Alright, let's get started!" Putin commanded. "Roger that," they confirmed at the site.

"The mining and processing plant has been launched," they stated at the plant. "My congratulations!"the President said.
