DONETSK, February 10. /TASS/. Ukrainian servicemen have shot the drivers of several company buses of the Pokrovskoye mine administration near Krasnoarmeysk (the Ukrainian name of the city is Pokrovsk), former employees of the enterprise who stayed on the Russian territory told TASS.
"Ukrainian servicemen came to our parking lot, they wanted to take away several buses that we used to transport the miners. Those who tried to defend the vehicles were shot," the former employees said.
They added that all the vehicles, including the buses, were stolen within a few days. "Then KrAZ trucks came to the base and took all the fuel: gasoline, diesel in barrels, spare parts for cars and buses, loaded equipment. In general, everything that could be taken was taken," one of the sources said.
He explained that the Pokrovskoye mine administration employed people who lived not only in Krasnoarmeysk, but also in nearby towns and settlements. They came to work on company buses that traveled throughout the Krasnoarmeysk district. "We were all at our workplaces until recently, regardless of the operational situation and the work of the mine itself, they wouldn't let us leave our workplaces," the workers said.
The Pokrovskoye mine, located 15 kilometers west of Krasnoarmeysk, is the largest coal mine in the region. The mine specializes in the production of coking coal, a significant part of which was exported for many years.
