MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. Russian forces have destroyed 550 Ukrainian warplanes since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Thursday.
"In all, the following targets have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation: 550 warplanes, 257 helicopters, 9,568 unmanned aerial vehicles, 442 surface-to-air missile systems, 13,870 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,188 multiple rocket launchers, 7,268 field artillery guns and mortars and 16,011 special military motor vehicles," the ministry reported.

Russian forces repulsed five Ukrainian army attacks in the Kupyansk area, destroying roughly 75 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, five attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 57th motorized infantry brigade and 41st mechanized brigade were repulsed by professional operations of units from the western battlegroup, army aircraft strikes and artillery fire in the areas of the settlement of Sinkovka in the Kharkov Region and Lake Liman," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Kupyansk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 75 personnel, two tanks, four armored personnel carriers, two pickup trucks, a German-made Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery gun, a US-manufactured M198 howitzer and a D-30 howitzer, it said.

Russian forces repelled two Ukrainian army attacks in the Krasny Liman area, destroying roughly 280 enemy troops and 7 pieces of equipment over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, units of the battlegroup Center operating in interaction with artillery repelled two attacks by the Ukrainian army’s 24th mechanized brigade and 44th separate rifle battalion in areas near the settlements of Dzerzhinsk and Yampolovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Krasny Liman direction over the past 24 hours amounted to "280 personnel, two infantry fighting vehicles and three motor vehicles," the ministry specified.
In counter-battery fire, Russian forces wiped out "two US-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery guns," it said.
Russian forces eliminate 175 Ukrainian troops in Donetsk area over past day

"In the Donetsk direction, units of the southern battlegroup operating in interaction with aircraft and artillery repulsed two attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 67th mechanized brigade near the settlement of Kleshcheyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The enemy’s losses in that direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 175 personnel, three armored combat vehicles and two motor vehicles," the ministry said.
In counter-battery fire, Russian forces destroyed a US-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system, two Akatsiya self-propelled artillery guns, a Gvozdika motorized artillery system, a D-30 howitzer and a US-manufactured M119 artillery gun, the ministry specified.

Russian forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower and military hardware in the south Donetsk area, destroying roughly 160 enemy troops and a US-made artillery gun over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the south Donetsk direction, units of the battlegroup East in interaction with attack and army aircraft and artillery inflicted damage on the personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 23rd mechanized, 58th motorized infantry and 128th territorial defense brigades near the settlements of Sladkoye, Nikolskoye and Urozhainoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the south Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours amounted to 160 personnel, two armored combat vehicles, three motor vehicles and a US-made M777 artillery system, the ministry reported.
Russian forces destroy 60 Ukrainian troops in Zaporozhye area over past day
Russian forces destroyed roughly 60 Ukrainian troops and two artillery guns in the Zaporozhye area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian battlegroup, air strikes and artillery fire inflicted damage on amassed personnel of the Ukrainian army’s 33rd mechanized brigade near the settlement of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region. The enemy’s losses amounted to 60 personnel, two motor vehicles and two Gvozdika motorized artillery systems," the ministry said.
Kiev loses 65 troops in Kherson area over past day
Russian forces struck Ukrainian army units in the Kherson area, killing and wounding roughly 65 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kherson direction, units of Russian troops, artillery fire and air strikes inflicted damage on the enemy near the settlement of Chervony Mayak in the Kherson Region. The enemy lost as many as 65 personnel killed and wounded. In addition, two motor vehicles and a Gvozdika motorized artillery system were destroyed," the ministry said.
Russian forces destroy command posts of three Ukrainian army brigades in DPR
Russian forces destroyed command/observation posts of three Ukrainian army brigades in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Command/observation posts of the Ukrainian army’s 67th mechanized, 100th territorial defense and 12th special operations brigades were destroyed near the settlement of Serebryanka in the Donetsk People’s Republic along with ammunition and arms depots," the ministry said.
Russian air defenses down Ukrainian Su-25 warplane in DPR over past day
Russian air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft in the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Air defense capabilities shot down a Ukrainian Air Force Su-25 plane near the settlement of Vesyolaya Gora in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
Russian air defenses destroy 27 Ukrainian military drones over past day
Russian air defense forces shot down 27 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Air defense capabilities intercepted a rocket of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and a HARM anti-radar missile of US manufacture. In addition, they destroyed 27 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in areas near the settlements of Verkhnekamenka and Mankovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Gorlovka and Soledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
During the last 24-hour period, operational/tactical and army aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groupings of forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower and military hardware in 121 areas, the ministry reported.
