Experimental European space shuttle IXV that lifted off from the Kourou Space Center in French Guiana at 14:40 CET (13:30 GMT) on Wednesday has splashed down in the central sector of the Pacific Ocean and it will be picked up a special vessel soon, a spokesman for the Moscow office of the European Space Agency told TASS.

"The maneuver was performed as scheduled," he said.
