MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. Ukrainian soldiers cut off the heads of killed mercenaries to conceal their identity, Russian Investigative Committee chief Alexander Bastrykin said in an interview with TASS.

"The Ukrainian side is using all possible methods to conceal the identities of foreign mercenaries. In order to complicate the identification of the bodies of killed mercenaries, Ukrainian soldiers cut off their heads and hands," he said.

According to Bastrykin, several such bodies were found in the zone of Russia’s special military operation. They were identified as Polish mercenaries thanks to smartphone records.
