HONG KONG, October 24. /TASS/. Two earthquakes took place on Saturday night off the eastern coast of Taiwan, the Central Meteorological Administration of the island said.

According to the agency, their epicenters were located in the sea about 31 km and 30 km east of the city of Hualien, at depths of 15.4 km and 16.6 km, respectively. The highest intensity of the tremors was recorded in the Hualien and Nantou counties.

There is yet no information about damage or casualties.
