Ukraine resumes gas import from Poland after 5-months' suspension — media

Poland and Hungary suspendede gas supplies to Ukraine in spring

KIEV, October 13. /TASS/. Ukraine resumed imports of natural gas from Poland, Ukrainian News information agency reported on Tuesday.

"This morning we received a request for gas import from Poland in the amount of 0.3 mln cubic meters," the head of press service of Ukraine's gas pipeline operator Ukrtransgaz Maksim Belyavsky was quoted as saying.

On January 19, 2015 Ukrtransgaz and Polish gas transport system operator Gaz-System signed an agreement on construction of connecting gas pipeline, which will allow Ukraine to get access to liquefied gas terminals in Lithuania and Poland.

Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller said on May 5, 2015 that Poland followed Hungary in ceasing reverse gas supplies to Ukraine.
