MOSCOW, May 1. /TASS/. Ukraine’s demand for the Russian gas has doubled as of May 1, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller told reporters on Friday.

The supplies of Russian gas to Ukraine grew already in late April and reached some 12-13 million cubic meters per day.
Russia’s gas supplies to the country reached 273.5 million cubic meters over 28 days in April.
Ukraine’s import of European gas stood at 1.18 billion cubic meters in April. In March, Ukraine imported 1.35 billion cubic meters of gas from Europe.
The supplies of gas from Slovakia were estimated at 1.138 billion cubic meters, from Poland - 35.7 million cubic meters and from Hungary - 5.6 million cubic meters.
