MOSCOW, February 9. /TASS/. Hungary has resumed reverse natural gas supplies to Ukraine after the suspension in early February, the Hungarian gas transport operator FGSZ Ltd. said on Monday.
Reverse supplies of natural gas from Hungary to Ukraine have recently increased from 3.8 mln cubic meters a day to 4.7 mln cubic meters. No reverse supplies of natural gas from Poland have been resumed for the time being. Natural gas deliveries from Slovakia are currently at the level of 37-38 mln cubic meters a day.
Reverse supplies of natural gas to Ukraine were reported earlier as totaling 5.1 bln cubic meters in 2014, while Russia supplied 14.5 bln cubic meters of natural gas. Ukraine is going to continue lowering Russian natural gas import on account of growing supplies from Europe, primarily from Slovakia. Slovakian supplies are expected to grow by 26% from March 1. Slovakia therefore will be able to perform reverse supplies of 14.5 bln cubic meters on an annualized basis.
