MOSCOW, May 13. /TASS/. Sales of new Chinese passenger cars in Russia fell by 14% year-on-year in April 2026 to 47,700 units, according to a study by Gazprombank Autoleasing obtained by TASS.
At the same time, the share of Chinese brands in Russia stood at 41% in April, whereas a year earlier it had reached 55%.
"In the middle of spring, 47,700 vehicles from China were sold, 6,000 (+14%) more than in March, but 8,000 (-14%) fewer than in April last year," the study said.
The leaders of the brand ranking during this period were Haval (16,500 units), Geely (6,800), Changan (4,500), Jaecoo (3,400), and Jetour (2,900).
