Lisin loses ISSF presidency to Italy’s Rossi

Vladimir Lisin, 66, has led the ISSF since 2018, and previously he was head of the European Shooting Federation

MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. Italy’s Luciano Rossi has defeated Russian oligarch Vladimir Lisin at elections for the president of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), Inside the Games reported on Wednesday.

The ISSF General Assembly held the vote in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt on Wednesday. Lisin received 127 votes but was beaten out by Rossi, who garnered 136.

Lisin, 66, has led the ISSF since 2018, and previously he was head of the European Shooting Federation. The Russian businessman is chairman of the board of Russian steel giant NLMK. According to Forbes, as of early November, Lisin had an estimated wealth of $20.2 billion. Apart from Russia, Lisin also represented Cyprus on the list of candidates for the leading roles at the ISSF.
